Self-cleaning Plastic Disc Filters Batteries
Self-cleaning filter systems are used to filter surface water. They are often used as a safety feature of an installation as well as pre-filters for water intake. They can be used to remove organic and inorganic materials. The filters contain a stack of grooved plastic discs mounted on 4 perimetric shafts.
Systems consist of two or more-disc filter units. Automation provides the user with the advantage of not having to intervene in the filter cleaning process, while at the same time having a constant water flow rate during the irrigation process even when the filter is being cleaned.
In general, self-cleaning disc filters are mainly used in situations where the contamination particles are lighter than water (eg algae, seaweeds) with minimal maintenance requirements.
